Hello, my name is Christos, I use the nickname Avercast. I currently live in Athens. I finished my undergraduate studies at the University of Peloponnese in the computer engineering department and my military obligations. I stumbled into the 3D world when I had to attend a course on graphical calculations with the GIMP program in 2019 and since then not a day has left my mind, I study through online courses, books, interviews with artists in the field. I fell down the Blender hole and am still falling, discovering what else is possible. At the moment, I'm mainly focusing on lighting, products and automotive videos.
Having focused on Blender, After Effects and Photoshop for the past 3 years, I'm slowly trying to experiment with other software tools on how I can change and differentiate parts of the workflows I currently use. To gather experience in the field of art and video I worked for 2 years as a volunteer at the Cyprus Film Festival where I did all the commercials. My Bachelor thesis was about Creating a 3D environment for VR use which you can see below. Finally I interned at the wonderful CandyshopVfx where I picked up valuable knowledge and working techniques for real problems in the advertising field.

Description: My biggest personal project, took me a month to complete, is a love letter to car ads. I used Refence for every shot which is one of the most powerful tools an artist has, I've learned to always run there when I'm stuck.

Description: Advertising spot for Social media for the book by Giannis Varoufakis from Pataki publishing house. The difficulty in this project was that each word disappeared with the opposite letter, in the end the book is 3D. In this project I had no creative control but listening to instructions and trying to understand what the client was asking for was an important lesson.
